Prior to joining Laurelhurst G&T Cooperative, Kara Spencer served as the Executive Vice President and CEO of Salem Electric Power Cooperative since 2014. During her tenure, she showcased exceptional strategic vision and effective management, earning the respect and admiration of her colleagues and industry peers.
Educational Excellence & Expertise
Spencer's educational journey is marked by notable achievements. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master's degree in Engineering with a business emphasis, both earned from the esteemed University of Oregon. As a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Oregon, she brings a deep understanding of the technical aspects of the energy sector. Her completion of the Reactor Technology Course for Utility Executives further enhances her expertise and capacity to drive innovative solutions.
